Are you an experienced 5* Hotel or Private Members Club Concierge or Hall Porter?

THE JOB:

  • Answering all telephone calls, dealing with queries, taking and recording dining room bookings and transferring all calls to the appropriate departments and to accurately take and pass on messages.
  • Liaise with the Secretary’s office should you receive information regarding such arrangements as bedroom reservations and private party bookings
  • Assisting Members and visitors with all their queries and requests.
  • Storing and maintenance of all equipment accordingly and check regularly all stock under your control (i.e. Member’s writing paper and envelopes).
  • Helping members and their guests with any luggage and the smooth check in and check out of guests according to 5 star service standards. E
  • Ensure sufficient supply of newspapers and pass on the newspaper orders for the bedroom.
  • Prividing door security, to arrange for cabs, use the cash-box to provide stamps phone cards or change
  • Being aware of all security and fire aspects and to act accordingly when appropriate, ensuring a hygienic and a safe working environment at all times. To be aware of all relevant legislation (HASWA, Food Hygiene and Safety Regulations, Fire Precautions etc.)
  • Maintenance of cleanliness of the area of responsibility i.e. vacuuming the stairs and mat each morning.

IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Previous Concierge or a Hall Porter experience within a Private Members Club or a 5* Hotel for a minimum of 3 years
  • Stability in your career to date.
  • Can do attitude.
  • Immaculate presentation.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Great communication skills, essential. is a good telephone manner, neat and legible handwriting.
  • Diplomatic, courteous and well presented at all times particularly as this post requires the incumbent to deal with our demanding members.

THE PACKAGE:

  • £30K per annum
  • 08.30 – 16.30 work hours on a Monday – Friday basis
