HGV Drivers, Admin Staff… Anything!
We are H.Z. Logistics, specialists in logistics, International and intermodal groupage transport (temperature regulated), distribution, ship supply and warehousing.

To give some context, 2021 was a historic high for driver shortages and we were finding it extremely difficult to recruit. We exhausted all options (social media, Indeed, reed etc.) The driver shortage was concerning, our business needs drivers to survive, we were really beginning to worry. We had to take urgent action and so we rolled the dice and decided to contact CV locator. WHAT A ROLE OF THE DICE IT WAS! CV Locator allowed us to hire 8 HGV Class 1 drivers within the first two weeks of our campaign. During the biggest driver shortage in history and after spending weeks trying to find just one driver myself, I must admit I was blown away. The most impressive thing about CV locator for me is their desire to fill positions with the perfect candidate. Rhys and Mali were my main contacts, they actively searched their databases for CVS and found the perfect candidates rather than just considering direct applicants. This was very impressive and allowed us to find exactly what we needed.

Since our first campaign we have not looked back, we have since used CV Locator to hire Transport Planners, Administration Assistants, Transport Managers, Warehouse Managers, PPT Warehouse staff. We have filled every position that we have advertised with them and couldn’t be happier with the results. If the cost of the campaign is a question mark for you, then I can only say that initially it was for me too, until I realised that the campaigns pay for themselves when you consider the costs of pretty useless Facebook or basic indeed campaigns, in addition to the saved time of our department managers who can now concentrate on their primary roles. Almost all transport and logistics companies have been struggling with staffing since the pandemic. When the need for online shopping increased and HGV drivers realised that they could get more regular shifts by being registered to an agency, companies found themselves paying a very large premium for staff. HZ Logistics were no exception to this.

 

In order to stay profitable HZ were on a man hunt to find staff that were going to be employed by them on a PAYE basis. After trying all year to fill their fleet on their own they decided to take a chance on CV Locator.

 

After posting just 1 advert we filled 5 positions that they had vacant. All that we did differently was reach more people with our job ads and kept people on the phone. Based on a 10% agency premium this will have saved HZ Logistics around £20,000.

 

Since then we have been supporting HZ Logistics on an ongoing basis with not only their drivers but also their office staff too, including Transport Managers, Transport Planners, Admin staff and PPT Warehouse staff.
