We’re recruiting on behalf of a highly respected hospitality operation based in Tetbury, for an experienced Sous Chef to support the day-to-day running of a quality-led kitchen.

This is a unique opportunity to work within an organisation driven by sustainability, provenance, and exceptional standards, producing food that reflects seasonality, local sourcing, and thoughtful execution.

Responsibilities as Sous Chef

  • Support the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations
  • Lead the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence
  • Maintain high food quality, consistency, and presentation
  • Assist with menu delivery, costing, and stock control
  • Support rota planning and wage control
  • Ensure food safety, hygiene, and compliance standards
  • Train and support junior members of the team
  • Work closely with FOH to ensure smooth service

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or strong Senior CDP ready to step up
  • Background in fresh food, quality-led kitchens
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills
  • Confidence managing stock, rotas, and compliance
  • Passion for sustainability, provenance, and high standards
  • Comfortable working some weekends, bank holidays, and occasional evenings
  • Legal right to work in the UK
