We are a fabulous independent Hotel Located in the shadow of Arundel Castle, the Hotel is anything but old – with its newly refurbished restaurant and bars, offering you a quintessentially wonderful place to eat, drink and stay.
We are now seeking a Hotel Maintenance person to keep our beautiful property in tip top condition. You will ideally be friendly, caring, creative and a problem solver! A large proportion of the work you will be responsible for is joinery, tiling and plumbing, so experience is essential.
You’ll be responsible for the daily department operations by performing maintenance duties, repairs, service, and preventative maintenance of Hotel equipment, furniture, fixtures and fittings.

Hotel Maintenance Person, Arundel – Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintain external area, including Car Park
- Joinery, Tiling, Plumbing mainly
- You will be working as part of a team, not just in the Maintenance Department, but you will be supporting all of your colleagues to deliver outstanding service and standards to our guests
- You will be required to complete records that form part of our legal compliance, so accurate reporting and record keeping is essential
- To work from the PMS reactive Maintenance Schedule on a daily basis to prioritise and action remedial works as needed to ensure hotel facilities are in good order so no revenue is lost
- Be aware of the responsibility for the security of guests and the hotel
- Refer any requirement for departmental supplies to senior management for authorisation
- Ensure the company Health & Safety Policy and Health & Safety at Work Act 1974, Fire and COSHH legislation are adhered to and maintain scheduled inspection records and online compliance systems
