An exciting opportunity has become available for a Transport Manager with a PSV CPC qualification, a clean D1 and an Operator’s Licence at this exciting, dynamic site.

We are the UK’s first full scale mountain bike trail network in the heart of the South Wales valleys. We are a young, successful business which is growing fast.

Our current offering includes over 40 world class mountain bike trails, a vehicular uplift service, café, bikes shop, bike hire, coaching and events but an ambitious 3 year plan is now underway to both improve the existing services and add new products to the existing site.

We are on the edge of the Brecon Beacons national park, not far from Merthyr Tydfil and just 25 minutes north of central Cardiff and we have become an internationally recognised destination and a mecca for mountain bikers.

Transport Manager – Remuneration:

  • Up to £29000 negotiable d.o.e.

Transport Manager – Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Up to date knowledge of regulations
  • Overall legal compliance of the operation
  • Fleet maintenance, repair and servicing in accordance with DVSA and company policy including MOT, Road Tax and scheduled checks
  • Liaise with commercial garages
  • Financial targeting and control
  • Health & Safety
  • Risk Assessments
  • Training and development
  • Creation and implementation of SOP’s
  • Leading the team of around 16 staff
  • Maintaining the relevant records and documentation for all of the above
  • Regular review of KPI’s – service, safety and profitability

Qualifications:

  • Full, Clean British Driving Licence qualified to D1 (no 101 or 78 restriction), CPC, driver card
  • Transport Manager PCV CPC [**ESSENTIAL** Applicants MUST possess this qualification]
  • A-levels or equivalent advantageous
